How did you get involved with @HOME Bible Study?  I was in a Bible Study in Kathy’s home years ago - and then it grew :)

What has been your favorite study and why?  And, or, if you are new, what would you most like to study?  Honestly, whatever study I am currently doing is my favorite.  I’ve done so many studies in different styles and whether it is a new topic or a repeat, God’s word is always teaching me something new and helping me understand the Bible in different ways…always guiding and answering my current needs.

What is your “go to” Bible verse, or story from the Bible that inspires you and why? Philippians 4:6-7

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

This is my go to when life throws a curve.  Only God can give me peace and hope when there are no answers to the “why’s”.

What do you hope to gain through Bible Study, for how do you hope to grow in your relationship with Christ?  Bible Study keeps me on course and in the Word.  I love meeting with our small group - they are the most amazing group of Godly women who continually strive to love and live as Jesus calls us to do.  They are great examples and continually challenge me to have a deeper relationship with Jesus.

When, and how, do you make time for Bible Study in your day? Coffee and Bible Study…they go hand in hand!  My day is ALWAYS so much better when it starts like this!

How has studying God’s Word impacted your work, social life, or family dynamic? The more I study God’s Word, the more I see how active He is in my daily life.  When I truly seek him, I find him in the funniest and most wonderful places.  Staying close to Him also always gives me more confidence and boldness in the decisions I make - and I worry less about the outside world driving me.

Who would you most like to meet from the Bible and what question(s) would you ask them?  Mary!  As a mom, I’ve always thought we would be friends and I would love to know what Jesus was like as a child.  And of course I would like to know what it’s like to have a perfect child  :)

What has brought you joy this past week?  I just returned from the dreamiest trip to Italy with my sister and a group of girlfriends.  Everything there is a feast for the eyes and mouth…as an artist, I was so inspired and my head is full of new ideas!

What are you reading or watching right now? OR your favorite book/TV show/movie?  I just finished a book called Imagine Heaven by John Burke.  It recounts peoples near death experiences and their vision of heaven.  It paints the most beautiful picture of heaven that far surpasses our wildest dreams.  It has also made me think more about my daily decisions as well as the life that awaits us.  I highly recommend it!

What does a typical day in your life look like? Coffee, Bible Study, exercise and hopefully painting!  But I don’t seem to have typical days anymore…

What is your favorite way to spend your free time? I love to paint and create. I try to do something with my hands everyday…it’s how I relax and escape and it’s part of my mental well-being.  Traveling, hiking, fishing and being with family and friends :)

Favorite FTW restaurant, and what do you order? I’m obsessed with Local Foods  and the Power Salad right now…. And being a FW native, Joe T’s enchiladas always satisfy!

Favorite place to vacation/spend time in the summer? Telluride…but the South of France always sounds pretty dreamy!
What qualities do you look for in a friend? Funny, clever, adventurous and loyal.
